Awhile back I was sick. Not sick enough to stay in bed, just sick enough to feel crappy. During that time - let's be honest - I was a grouch. I was grumpy with my husband, and I would catch myself having judgmental thoughts about people I knew nothing about. And I said to myself, "This isn't me - stop that!!" But until I got my health back, that was a tall order. This reminded me of why I became a massage therapist. When we feel good, we share it. When we feel bad, we share that too. Everyone deserves to feel good.
Imagine a world without pain, without stress – what would that look like? Without the distraction of pain, stress and discomfort, people would be free to be present in the here & now, to be mindful of one another, to stop and listen. While a world such as this may not be feasible, consider how one person affects another, and another, as one droplet of water ripples out to the entire pond. If we can help one person be that droplet….well, we’ve done our tiny part in creating that world. Namaste.
